It was with deep sadness that the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland learned of the passing of Roy Kells MBE.
Roy Kells was held in high esteem by all who knew him and can best be described as one of life’s true gentlemen.
A life-long member of the Orange family, joining first in Portadown whilst serving his apprenticeship he quickly transferred to his home County and joined the ranks of Fawney Heroes LOL 329, Lisnaskea.
He gave dedicated service to the Institution becoming County Grand Master of Fermanagh and as Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.
Roy’s lifetime of commitment to Orangeism was publicly acknowledged at the 2018 Orange Community Awards when he was presented with the Institution’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kells family at the very sad time.
