Grand Lodge Officers & Staff

Grand Lodge Officers

The Senior Management Team is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland and Staff.

Elected Annually by the Membership, the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, Grand Treasurer and Grand Secretary come from a variety of backgrounds and broad geographic spread.

​

Two Assistant Grand Masters are appointed every three years by the sitting Grand Master and assist the Grand Master in his role, including representing him at functions and events.

Grand Master

A County Down businessman, Harold is a member of Drumlough Heroes LOL 153 in Rathfriland.

Brian Dorrian

Grand Treasurer

Brian has had a distinguished career in Public Service and is a member of Kircubbin Volunteers LOL 1900.

Derek Reaney AGM

Derek Reaney

Deputy Grand Master

A County Tyrone native, Derek is a member of Plumbridge Purple Heroes LOL 560 in Newtownstewart District.

Mervyn Gibson

Mervyn Gibson

Grand Secretary

Mervyn is a former member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC and is currently the Minister of Westbourne Presbyterian Church in East Belfast.

Staff

There are currently ten staff employed by the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland across both the administration of the Institution and the operation of the Museum of Orange Heritage.

Staff perform a variety of roles, including Administration, Press, Outreach, Projects, Finance & Youth Development.

Linda is the longest-serving member of Staff, joining when the Institution was based on the Dublin Road, Belfast.

Museum Curator

Jonathan has a keen interest in History and obtained BA.Hons, Masters and PhD at Queen's. He oversees the Museum of Orange Heritage and Grand Lodge archives.

Museum Support Officer

Sarah has a degree in History and Religious Studies and formerly worked in the Public Sector. She works closely with the Curator in the Museum of Orange Heritage.

Actively involved in outreach and community engagement with the Grand Lodge since 2004, complemented by extensive experience in the community sector.

A native of East Belfast, Coleen has worked in a wide variety of sectors including Legal and Hospitality. She supports the Chief Executive and Grand Lodge Officers.

Gary McAllister

Project Officer

Gary joined the team in 2018 as a Youth Development Officer before taking on the role of Project Officer. He previously worked in the community & youth work sectors.

David works in the front office at Schomberg House, greeting visitors and supporting them and the membership with general enquiries.

Jonathan joined the team in 2025 and oversees the Institutions IT systems. He has extensive experience in the IT Sector, having previously worked in the private sector.
