Points for Prayer 1 For health needs

Updated: May 20, 2020

For physicians, nurses, and health care providers involved in this situation: Lord we especially lift unto You those who are caring for the ill and elderly – doctors, nurses and carers. We thank You for their diligence, courage and compassion. May they be blessed with the wisdom and grace needed to provide the best care possible.

For the sick and infected: God, heal and help. Sustain bodies and spirits. We ask that You would ease their pain and give them hope and peace.

For our vulnerable population: God, protect our elderly and those suffering from chronic disease.

For those with mental health challenges who feel isolated, anxious, and helpless: God, provide them with every necessary support.

For those in need of regular therapies and treatments that must now be postponed: God, help them to stay patient and positive. We pray that soon they may be able to have their treatment.

For nursing homes and other long-term care facilities: Encourage the lonely residents and strengthen the staff members who care for them. Prevent further spread of infection, and comfort families who can no longer visit their loved ones.

For those who are anxious: Turn their hearts from fear and anxiety that they may find that peace which is the fruit of the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

For our scientific community: Grant wisdom, skill and patience to those who labour in laboratories seeking a vaccine for the Coronavirus and by Your grace, give them success in their endeavours.
