Grand Master writes to new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham MP

The Grand Master has written to the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham MP, offering congratulations on his appointment whilst outlining a number of concerns on behalf of the Orange Institution. 

Most Wor. Bro. Henning highlighted the post Brexit trading difficulties and regulatory anomalies between Great Britian and Northern Ireland and urged the Prime Minister to act decisively to address the ongoing problems resulting from the Irish Sea Border.

He also raised concerns around Legacy matters, particularly the Republic of Ireland’s belligerent attitude to acknowledging their role during the period known as ‘the troubles’ and ongoing concerns around Dublin’s failure to adequately police the Common Travel Area.
